Moroccan Memories
Powerful, sensual and pure. Laying on the bed, watching the moon rise over the sandy hills of the Saharan desert, he dreamt the fragrance of a Moroccan night. Imagine a happier Moroccan ending for Sebastian Flyte (and Aloysius), a true escape devoid of death and filled with the vibrant colors and textures of this far-from-England. Coriander is a soft, sparkling effect at the top of this scent, a transparent, voile like curtain that overhangs the sandy density of a fruity, almost floral cuming. Before cumin can grow too animalic, petitgrain imitates the sun and illuminates, explodes and disperses these spices over the following notes, a subtle, piquant confetti. Rose is a rich yet remarkably clean scent, as dense as satin and devoid of sweetness. Jasmine is rose's opposite, a fluid, uncontainable cousin, a free spirit of indolic sweetness that ultimately settles down into a solid, grounding force. Cedar is a terse smoke that wreathes vetiver, a shimmering, savory sweet verdancy; together these notes recreate L'air, making it brusque and as matter-of-fact as the desert wind. Ambergris is the final level of this scent, a relic of when these sandy slopes were sea, and the element that resolves the balance between savory and sweet in this fragrance. Warm, Tauer-strong (which is to say, very concentrated), and dry, this fragrance warms our hearts and drives us to keep striding, towards the hazy horizon. (coriander, cumin, petitgrain, rock rose, jasmine, cedar woods, vetiver, ambergris)
