When an exquisite perfume formula from the 14th century was discovered by the Prior of Charterhouse in 1948, the perfume house Carthusia was born. Over the years, it has refined its mastery over the olfactory senses, perfecting and structuring its discernment of essences in order to create beautiful, captivating fragrances. All stages of production are still carried out by hand to guarantee accurate application of the natural methods involved, and the exquisite care of traditional craftsmanship. Inspired by Capri, the unique harmonies of scents in Carthusia fragrances are as exceptional as the island from which they come.
